Vallparadís Esplugues Care Home is designed as a group of smaller residential volumes rather than a single institutional building. This approach helps create a more domestic scale and a warmer, more familiar atmosphere for older people. With 147 places and 7 household units, the project follows BTA’s person-centred care design approach. The different volumes are organised around a large private garden, creating safe outdoor spaces, natural light and a strong connection between daily life and the landscape.
