Refurbishment project for homes and common areas in a building in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona. The original structure follows the typical construction system of its period, with load-bearing brick walls, timber beam floors and ceramic jack arch slabs. The intervention was developed in phases. In this stage, the ground floor and mezzanine levels were refurbished with a new layout: a single living-kitchen space, a small mezzanine with one bedroom and one bathroom, and a large opening connecting the home with the interior courtyard of the urban block.
